According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 5,187 adult arrests made in US cities for arson offenses.
By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (3.67K), followed by Black or African American (1.29K), and Asian (117).
By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 4,410 (85%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (3.30K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (1.11K).
