According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 7,316 juvenile arrests made in US cities for motor vehicle theft offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as Black or African American (4.60K), followed by White (2.53K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (115).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 6,202 (85%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (4.98K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (1.22K).
