According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 1,174 total arrests made in US metropolitan counties for arson offenses.
By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (897), followed by Black or African American (252), and Asian (14).
By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 1,028 (88%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (830), followed by Hispanic or Latino (198).
