According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 1,427,625 total arrests made in US cities for all other offenses except traffic offenses.
By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (942.82K), followed by Black or African American (418.51K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (40.77K).
By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 1,211,065 (85%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (950.78K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (260.28K).
