According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 508,416 total arrests made in US cities for drug abuse violations offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (339.60K), followed by Black or African American (152.98K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (8.62K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 452,147 (89%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (345.16K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (106.99K).
