Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Montana citizen population was 973.48K. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen population (858.85K) and constituted 88.23% of the total. The Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen population (59.25K) and constituted 6.09% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (27.19K), constituting 2.79% of the total citizen population.
