Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the Montana citizen population was 1.07M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen population (920.35K) and constituted 86.20% of the total. The Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen population (62.97K) and constituted 5.90% of the total.
