Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Texas was 1,234,325 and represented 5.60% of the total Texas citizen population.

Among all Texas counties, Harris had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (728.70K), followed by Dallas (492.93K), and Tarrant (246.88K).

In terms of percentages, Jefferson had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (35.98%), followed by Waller (26.40%), and Falls (26.28%).
