Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Maryland citizen voting-age population was 4.00M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (2.49M) and constituted 62.16% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (1.15M) and constituted 28.72% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Asian Alone ethnicity group had the third highest (158.54K), constituting 3.96% of the total citizen voting-age population.
