Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Virginia citizen voting-age population was 5.66M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (4.05M) and constituted 71.57% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (1.09M) and constituted 19.28% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Asian Alone ethnicity group had the third highest (216.77K), constituting 3.83% of the total citizen voting-age population.
