Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for Iowa was 889,640 and represented 39.77% of the total Iowa citizen voting-age population.

Among all Iowa counties, Polk had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (14.71K), followed by Black Hawk (7.34K), and Scott (7.17K).

In terms of percentages, Black Hawk had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (7.41%), followed by Scott (5.94%), and Polk (4.92%).
