Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the citizen population for Idaho was 1,505,300 and represented 96.01% of the total Idaho population.

Among all Idaho counties, Ada had the highest citizen population (380.67K), followed by Canyon (178.09K), and Kootenai (137.59K).

In terms of percentages, Adams had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.87%), followed by Oneida (99.65%), and Bear Lake (99.50%).
