Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the citizen population for Indiana was 6,291,360 and represented 97.01% of the total Indiana population.

Among all Indiana counties, Marion had the highest citizen population (848.20K), followed by Lake (479.34K), and Allen (342.82K).

In terms of percentages, Ohio had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (100.00%), followed by Union (99.93%), and Crawford (99.91%).
