Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for Texas was 902,495 and represented 5.68% of the total Texas citizen voting-age population.

Among all Texas counties, Harris had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (527.36K), followed by Dallas (356.12K), and Tarrant (173.51K).

In terms of percentages, Jefferson had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (34.95%), followed by Waller (29.94%), and Houston (26.70%).
