Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the citizen population for Massachusetts was 6,114,210 and represented 92.57% of the total Massachusetts population.

Among all Massachusetts counties, Middlesex had the highest citizen population (1.37M), followed by Worcester (757.99K), and Essex (697.72K).
