Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2014, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for California was 1,259,335 and represented 3.85% of the total California citizen population.

Among all California counties, Los Angeles had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (789.40K), followed by Alameda (175.94K), and San Bernardino (168.38K).

In terms of percentages, Solano had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (15.04%), followed by Alameda (13.24%), and Sacramento (10.55%).
