Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2015, the South Dakota citizen voting-age population was 621.77K. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (547.27K) and constituted 88.02% of the total. The Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (43.33K) and constituted 6.97% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (12.13K), constituting 1.95% of the total citizen voting-age population.
