Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen population for Florida was 18,101,505 and represented 90.81% of the total Florida population.

Among all Florida counties, Miami-Dade had the highest citizen population (2.04M), followed by Broward (1.61M), and Palm Beach (1.24M).

In terms of percentages, Baker had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.27%), followed by Wakulla (99.03%), and Gulf (98.99%).
