Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for New York was 1,271,600 and represented 7.19% of the total New York citizen population.

Among all New York counties, Kings had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (704.55K), followed by Bronx (369.96K), and Queens (368.81K).
