Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Texas was 1,271,600 and represented 5.29% of the total Texas citizen population.

Among all Texas counties, Harris had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (790.10K), followed by Dallas (539.05K), and Tarrant (283.19K).

In terms of percentages, Jefferson had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (36.25%), followed by Waller (27.62%), and Dallas (25.78%).
