Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic White Alone citizen population for North Carolina was 3,195,130 and represented 33.83% of the total North Carolina citizen population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Wake had the highest Non-Hispanic White Alone citizen population (598.18K), followed by Mecklenburg (481.60K), and Guilford (262.54K).

In terms of percentages, Clay had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic White Alone (97.11%), followed by Ashe (95.43%), and Madison (95.13%).
