Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic White Alone citizen population for South Dakota was 3,195,130 and represented 383.24% of the total South Dakota citizen population.

Among all South Dakota counties, Minnehaha had the highest Non-Hispanic White Alone citizen population (152.39K), followed by Pennington (86.23K), and Lincoln (48.20K).
