Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Louisiana citizen voting-age population was 3.43M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (2.17M) and constituted 63.17% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (1.07M) and constituted 31.20% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (99.15K), constituting 2.89% of the total citizen voting-age population.
