Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the citizen population for Arizona was 6,273,240 and represented 92.12% of the total Arizona population.

Among all Arizona counties, Maricopa had the highest citizen population (3.78M), followed by Pima (938.78K), and Pinal (381.76K).

In terms of percentages, Apache had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (98.53%), followed by Navajo (98.52%), and Gila (97.86%).
