Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic White Alone citizen population for North Carolina was 3,188,605 and represented 33.37% of the total North Carolina citizen population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Wake had the highest Non-Hispanic White Alone citizen population (610.04K), followed by Mecklenburg (485.52K), and Guilford (262.97K).

In terms of percentages, Clay had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic White Alone (95.78%), followed by Ashe (94.98%), and Madison (94.97%).
