Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Virginia was 1,281,810 and represented 16.20% of the total Virginia citizen population.

Among all Virginia counties, Richmond city had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (105.91K), followed by Norfolk city (99.96K), and Henrico (94.75K).
