Virginia Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone Citizen Population By County in 2022 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Virginia was 1,317,960 and represented 16.18% of the total Virginia citizen population.

Among all Virginia counties, Fairfax had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (102.28K), followed by Richmond city (98.73K), and Henrico (96.74K).

In terms of percentages, Petersburg city had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (77.48%), followed by Emporia city (62.21%), and Sussex (55.16%).
