Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the citizen voting-age population for West Virginia was 1,442,035 and represented 78.84% of the total West Virginia population.

Among all West Virginia counties, Kanawha had the highest citizen voting-age population (146.91K), followed by Berkeley (84.87K), and Monongalia (84.10K).

In terms of percentages, Tucker had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (83.56%), followed by Doddridge (83.19%), and Summers (82.53%).
