Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the South Dakota citizen voting-age population was 635.41K. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (555.40K) and constituted 87.41% of the total. The Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (44.38K) and constituted 6.99% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (14.45K), constituting 2.27% of the total citizen voting-age population.
