Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the West Virginia citizen voting-age population was 1.44M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (1.35M) and constituted 93.67% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (50.87K) and constituted 3.53% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (15.81K), constituting 1.10% of the total citizen voting-age population.
