Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 960,075 and represented 12.95% of the total North Carolina citizen voting-age population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Mecklenburg had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (234.21K), followed by Wake (151.71K), and Guilford (129.85K).

In terms of percentages, Bertie had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (60.41%), followed by Hertford (59.08%), and Edgecombe (57.94%).
