Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2019, the citizen population for Maine was 1,314,655 and represented 98.44% of the total Maine population.

Among all Maine counties, Cumberland had the highest citizen population (284.63K), followed by York (201.68K), and Penobscot (149.73K).

In terms of percentages, Franklin had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.38%), followed by Oxford (99.31%), and Somerset (99.28%).
