Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for New Jersey was 1,317,960 and represented 15.80% of the total New Jersey citizen population.

Among all New Jersey counties, Essex had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (289.64K), followed by Union (108.20K), and Camden (94.55K).
