California Health Insurance Coverage Status By Age Group in 2021 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 36,146,100 people in California who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 92.81% of California population), and 2,800,277 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 7.19% of California population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (11.84%), followed by the 35 - 44 Years age group (11.07%), and the 19 - 25 Years age group (10.88%).
