US Health Insurance Coverage Status By Age Group in 2021 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 296,329,423 people in the US who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 91.23% of the US population), and 28,489,142 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 8.77% of the US population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (15.42%), followed by the 19 - 25 Years age group (14.31%), and the 35 - 44 Years age group (13.32%).
