US Population By Type of Health Insurance Coverage in 2021 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, Employer-Based health insurance was used by 55.45% of the US population, the Medicaid health insurance was used by 20.24% of the US population, and the Medicare health insurance was used by 17.58% of the US population.

Also, there were 28,489,142 people in the US with No Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 8.77% of the US population).
