Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 5,186,282 people in Colorado who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 92.13% of Colorado population), and 443,230 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 7.87% of Colorado population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (13.46%), followed by the 19 - 25 Years age group (11.74%), and the 35 - 44 Years age group (11.64%).
