Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 3,370,642 people in Connecticut who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 94.77% of Connecticut population), and 186,152 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 5.23% of Connecticut population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (10.37%), followed by the 35 - 44 Years age group (9.33%), and the 19 - 25 Years age group (6.92%).
