Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 18,369,975 people in Florida who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 87.36% of Florida population), and 2,657,226 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 12.64% of Florida population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (23.67%), followed by the 19 - 25 Years age group (21.38%), and the 35 - 44 Years age group (19.90%).
