Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 6,125,382 people in Indiana who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 92.03% of Indiana population), and 530,422 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 7.97% of Indiana population).
The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (13.90%), followed by the 19 - 25 Years age group (12.62%), and the 35 - 44 Years age group (11.38%).
