Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 972,622 people in Montana who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 91.45% of Montana population), and 90,973 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 8.55% of Montana population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (14.71%), followed by the 35 - 44 Years age group (12.77%), and the 19 - 25 Years age group (12.52%).
