Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 10,866,334 people in Ohio who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 93.66% of Ohio population), and 735,559 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 6.34% of Ohio population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (11.74%), followed by the 19 - 25 Years age group (10.24%), and the 35 - 44 Years age group (9.02%).
