Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, there were 609,808 people in Vermont who had Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 95.95% of Vermont population), and 25,775 people who did not have a Health Insurance coverage (i.e. 4.06% of Vermont population).

The following age groups had the highest percentage of their population who did not have a health insurance coverage: the 26 - 34 Years age group (8.40%), followed by the 35 - 44 Years age group (6.64%), and the 45 - 54 Years age group (6.13%).
