According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2016, the birth rate for New York was 12. Jefferson County had the highest birth rate (17.88), followed by Rockland County (16.13), and Kings County (15.87) On the other hand, Hamilton County had the lowest birth rate (6.27), followed by Delaware County (7.41), and Tompkins County (7.67).
