According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the number of births for Connecticut was 36,854. Fairfield County had the highest number of births (10,200), followed by Hartford County (9,477), and New Haven County (9,047) On the other hand, Tolland County had the lowest number of births (1,126), followed by Windham County (1,191), and Litchfield County (1,470).
