According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the number of births for New Mexico was 24,179. Bernalillo County had the highest number of births (7,349), followed by Doña Ana County (2,757), and San Juan County (1,624) On the other hand, Harding County had the lowest number of births (3), followed by Catron County (12), and De Baca County (13).
