According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the number of births for Vermont was 5,843. Chittenden County had the highest number of births (1,590), followed by Franklin County (582), and Washington County (537) On the other hand, Grand Isle County had the lowest number of births (55), followed by Essex County (58), and Orleans County (242).
