Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, the Asian Alone population in California was 5,994,813 and represented 15.24% of the total California population (39,337,785).

Among California counties, Los Angeles County had the highest number of people who identified as Asian Alone (1,555,006), followed by Santa Clara County (732,047), and Orange County (673,976). Sierra County had the lowest (16).
