Delaware Black or African American Alone Population By County in 2021

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, the Black or African American Alone population in Delaware was 236,256 and represented 23.51% of the total Delaware population (1,004,807).

Among Delaware counties, New Castle County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (155,076), followed by Kent County (52,100), and Sussex County (29,080).
