Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the White Alone population in Illinois was 10,021,549 and represented 77.79% of the total Illinois population (12,883,029).

Among Illinois counties, Cook County had the highest number of people who identified as White Alone (3,443,645), followed by DuPage County (760,773), and Lake County (582,303). Pulaski County had the lowest (3,835).
